How to Measure for your new mini blinds

Inside mount. Measure width at top, center and bottom; use narrowest dimension. Do not make any deductions; blinds will be slightly narrower for easy fit. Measure height from inside top of opening to sill. If you prefer blind not touch the sill, deduct .25".

Outside mount. Measure width of opening. Specify the outside mount and the blind will be exactly the width specified.

When ordering, give width first, then length.

When covering a window on a door, this is considered an outside mount. You must add at least 2" of length" to the measurement from outside of top molding to outside of bottom molding. This is to allow for the blind to be mounted above the molding and still allow for hold down brackets at the bottom of the window. If you don't add to the length, the blind will be too short.

You can request extension brackets / spacers if there is molding around the window that will interfere with the operation of the blind.

When ordering a blind to cover a door or sidelight, specify the need for hold-down brackets.
